But what exactly is a fanlisting? Well to take the definition straight from thefanlistings.org:

A fanlisting is a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject.

In The Reins

Released in September 2005 the EP In the Reins is a collaboration between Iron & Wine's Sam Beam and Tuscon based 6-piece band Calexico. The songs that appear on this album are all written by Sam Beam who also provides that primary vocals combining his own soft, musky sound with the lively soundscaps so typical of the densely instumental Calexico.

Sam Beam had been intending on recording with Calexico since his debut album though it didn't work out and so we have this brilliant collection of songs instead. Other vocals are contributed by Sarah Beam (Sam's sister), Joey Burns (Calexico's frontman) and Salvador Duran who often works with Calecixo.
